    Hi Sylvia,
I am so pleased that my comments appear to be reaching you again!! We used to chat a lot on our blogs quite a few years ago when I think you were living in China. Hopefully this comment will get through, but possibly I may have to use my phone.
It isn’t a bad picture. At least you can identify the species! I am always pleased to get a picture that is good enough to at least confirm the identity of the species.

    1. Hi Nick!

Great to hear from you again. I saw a comment from you a couple of weeks ago, and replied to it. I think I have comments fixed, apparently when WP released the latest update, something changed. Thanks for letting me know!

Yes, I enjoyed our chats in the past. Sorry I lost touch. When we were in Tibet, my domain was supposed to automatically renew, but my credit card on file had expired, and I was behind the great firewall and could not get online. By the time I was able to get online, someone had poached my domain. What an ordeal. I finally just picked a new domain, and since then all my problems seem to have resolved.

But, interesting new development: the person who had helped me confirm difficult IDs for Chinese butterflies has been working on a comprehensive guide. I just found out this week he has an AI site that will ID Chinese butterflies. So I’ve been putting all my old NOIDS into it. This is one that I was never able to ID. I’m working to update posts and add new ones with all this new information. I’m grateful to finally have all my NOIDs resolved.

I’ll stop by and catch up with you soon!

Fantastic to be back in contact again. I was quite worried when your blog suddenly went quiet!
I suspect part of the problem with commenting is because of my ancient laptop and because I use blogger. Hopefully commenting via my phone will be more successful.
The AI identification sounds great, especially as it has been put together by an expert. I would love something like that for all my NOIDs. We are hoping to go to Costa Rica later this year and I can imagine trying to ID the 1,800 species will be a challenge!
I am so pleased you managed to get your domain all sorted.
